Beginning on 1 January 2017, American Philatelic Society (APS)-judged National level shows began awarding medals in eight levels rather than the previous five bringing it more into line with international exhibiting. It should also be noted that the point scale for APS National level exhibiting differs quite a bit from the FIP International level.
