Jacobs & Picquot win 2nd place in AFOSL
“Daguin Tennis Postmarks” wins Silver at AFOSL 2023
SPI Vice-President and international tennis exhibitor, Norman F. Jacobs, in collaboration with Jean-Pierre Picquot of France, won 2nd place in the inaugural AICO Festival of Olympic & Sports Literature held during Paris 2023, the 27th World Olympic Collectors’ Fair, 23-25 June.
Their article, titled “Daguin Tennis Postmarks and the Tennis Clubs They Promoted,” was published in the Summer 2021 issue of the Journal of Sports Philately.
A total of 81 entries competed for medals in four categories: books, periodicals, websites and articles. The first three were judged by the votes of the public. The 18 articles in competition were judged by an expert panel.
